"account": "The Chicago School Board election for president in 2026 features three candidates: Hilario Dominguez, Jessica Biggs, and Victor Henderson. Dominguez, a former deputy political director for the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU), is advocating for expanding preschool and increased state funding for education. Biggs, a former CPS principal and school board member, prioritizes financial stability and high-quality education for all students, supported by the Service Employees International Union Local 73 and business community figures. Henderson, an attorney not previously involved in education, focuses on advancing student achievement and fiscal responsibility, with support from Black congresspeople and prominent church leaders. All candidates emphasize their commitment to better serving students and families but have differing approaches, such as Dominguez's big initiatives, Henderson's outsider perspective on budget issues, and Biggs' emphasis on board functioning. Only Dominguez rules out closing schools despite others planning to explore campus mergers.",
