"account": "Michigan women's basketball has secured the services of a highly-rated five-star recruit, CeCe Arico. The 5-foot-11 shooting guard, who is currently a rising senior at Detroit Country Day, has pledged her allegiance to her mother's team. CeCe, who stands at 5-foot-11, is considered the second-best player in Michigan, the sixth-best shooting guard in the nation, and the 33rd-best player in the country regardless of position within the class of 2027.\n\nCeCe's younger sister, Emma, is a member of the lacrosse team at U-M, while their brother, Trevor, serves as a student manager for the men's basketball team. Kim Barnes-Arico, CeCe's mother, is the winningest coach in Michigan women's basketball history, boasting 312 wins across 14 seasons. She has achieved more victories in Ann Arbor than any other coach, male or female, and has led the Wolverines to 13 different 20-win seasons.\n\nThe Wolverines are currently enjoying one of their best campaigns in history, with a record of 28 victories last year, which included tying a program record by finishing with 28 wins. This season, they are set to begin their 2026-27 campaign with a game against UConn, a team that recently defeated Michigan in a closely contested match, 72-69, in Uncasville, Connecticut. This defeat led U-M to the Elite Eight, marking their second appearance in the Final Four under the leadership of Kim Barnes-Arico.",
